Do I need to be funded by the Engine to work at 750 Main St?

No, our space is open to anyone in the Tough Tech community that needs a wet lab or fabrication space.

How can I qualify for space at the Engine?

We are the home for Tough Tech founders and pride ourselves on building a community and ecosystem for these companies to succeed. If you are working on a breakthrough technology at the convergence of science and engineering, let’s talk.

How do memberships work?

Companies that need wet lab or fabrication space can purchase a variety of membership options that suit their needs. Desks are reserved for companies that rent lab or workshop benches.

What is the minimum membership term?

All our memberships, with the exception of private lab and office suites, are month-to-month contracts.

How many people can work at one lab bench?

Each bench comes with one lab user. An additional lab user can be added to each bench for a monthly fee. We restrict maximum occupancy to 2 users per bench.

What are the hours of operation?

Our facilities are open 24 hours a day to all members. Operational support staff, including the front desk, will be staffed 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Can I bring visitors into the building?

Yes, visitors are allowed as long as they are accompanied by a member at all times. In addition, the building was designed with an abundance of meeting space on the 1st floor in order to limit how many visitors come upstairs.

What Biosafety Level can be performed in the labs?

All wet lab space is BSL-2.

Is the event space open to the public?

You do not need to be a member of our community to rent the event space. If you are interested in hosting an event, please get in touch today!
